Don't forget:

Prevention is better than Cure.
Plant protection begins with setting the right plant in the right place in the ground.

  1. Don't plant roses in soggy ground, or else put in a drainage system
  2. Don't wet the leaves when watering
  3. Shallowly cultivate the soi often or mulch
  4. Remove sources of infection (fallen leaves and bits of cane) regularly.
If necessary remove infected plants before winter.
  5. Encouraging birds and beneficial insects controls pests.
